5 Areas Where I Will Not Be Eco-Friendly

I want to be more organic, green, and less chemically dependent. However, there are areas where I plan to keep using conventional products.

Here are some of them:

1. Dishwasher Detergent: I have tried a leading eco-friendly brand. I am sticking with Cascade.

2. Toilet Paper: I have tried two different brands of recycled toilet paper. Um…. let’s just say, I will be staying with one of my regular brands/types.

3. Peanut Butter: It has been several years since I tried all an organic/natural peanut butter. However, I know I am beyond picky about my peanut butter. I will keep eating my smooth Jif.

4. Toothpaste: I have a lot of respect for Grace over at Going Going Gone Green. However, I just can’t see myself giving up my toothpaste for baking soda or tooth soap. yes, I have issues. It has been a long time since I tried something like Tom’s of Maine toothpaste; I may give them another shot. Although, I currently get my toothpaste at CVS and Walgreens for free to fifty cents, so it is going to take a lot to overcome my frugal self to switch.

5. Bananas: It has not been demonstrated that this thick skinned fruit has enough residual pesticides to cause me to buy the much more expensive, organic version. I will still eat the cheaper, conventional version.
